Holding a Nepali passport and thinking about a trip to Malaysia? Work through this guide from picking a category to knowing what to expect once Immigration has your application. It helps you prepare; it does not predict a result.
Nepal appears on the nationality list on our homepage, which means this website carries eVisa information for travellers with a Nepali passport. Our online service prepares and submits Tourist eVisa and Business eVisa applications to Immigration, which then assesses them.
The guide below follows the order in which most people need the information. Use the shortcuts to jump to the part you need.
Anything specific to Nepali citizens is kept out of this guide because none of it has been confirmed here: whether a visa is needed, the validity period, the permitted stay, exemptions, special entry conditions and decision times. Look to Immigration's decision on your application for those points.
A hotel stay is usually supported by a booking confirmation and flight details; staying with a host means providing the host's papers instead.
Expect questions about your own organization and the company that will receive you.
These journeys fall under the Visa with Reference group (VDR) instead.
Each category has a Single Entry and a Multiple Entry fee. The asterisk on the Multiple Entry cards matters: that option is subject to eligibility and Immigration approval, so it may not be open to every applicant, and this page cannot say whether it will be offered to you.
The application displays the photograph upload instructions; no dimensions appear on this page.
Holiday or family visit points to Tourist; meetings and events point to Business.
Single or Multiple Entry, then Regular or Express, using the fee cards below.
Collect the documents for your category and photograph each one in even light.
Type your details as the passport prints them and attach the documents requested.
Compare every field with your documents, and submit when it all agrees.
The cards use the same data as the Visa Fees page, so the figures always match. Fees are per applicant and in US dollars.

*Multiple Entry options are subject to eligibility and Immigration approval. All applications are subject to Immigration approval, and payment does not guarantee visa issuance.
Immigration looks at the application on its own, weighing the information and documents against its own requirements.
More documents or verification may be requested. We relay whatever comes to us; such a request is not a decision either way.
Only Immigration makes the final decision, and nothing we do can sway, override or hurry it.
A processing time for Nepali applicants has not been confirmed, so none is stated. The processing page walks through the stages.
Photograph the full page, flat, with no glare or shadow.
Copy names, numbers and dates from the passport itself.
Make the application, flight and accommodation show the same dates.
A stay with family or friends needs the host's documents too.
Use a natural, plain-background, passport-style image.
If Immigration asks for something, reply promptly and accurately.
Only that this website carries eVisa information for the nationality. It promises nothing about any application; Immigration decides each one.
We review your documents, prepare the application and submit it to Immigration. Assessment and decision stay with Immigration.
Recent and passport-style, taken against a plain background and looking natural. Leave out filters and heavy editing.
That it is valid, that it is the passport you will travel on, and that every detail you type matches what is printed in it.
The Multiple Entry fees. That option may allow more than one entry during its validity, but only where it is available and approved by Immigration.
Begin with the purpose of your trip. The Tourist and Business requirements pages describe what each category covers and what to prepare.
Updates and requests that come to us through the process are relayed to you, but we have no view into Immigration's review.
No. The MDAC is a separate arrival-information requirement; its overview page explains who needs one.
The Malaysia Visa Categories page sets Tourist, Business and the VDR entry visas next to each other, and the requirements pages list the documents for each.
Use this page to get organized, nothing more. It gives no legal or immigration advice and says nothing about the fate of your own application.
