Malaysia Student Pass VDR Entry Visa

Who This Student Page Is For

A student with approved studies in Malaysia may use this service once the relevant VDR letter and Immigration approval letter have been issued, subject to the applicable entry-visa requirements.

Core Documents for Study Applicants

  1. Recent passport-style photograph.
  2. Valid passport.
  3. Clear copy of the passport biodata page.
  4. Visa with Reference (VDR) letter.
  5. Immigration approval letter.
  6. Supporting documents relevant to the selected visa category.

University Documents to Prepare

  • University admission or offer letter. The admission or offer letter issued by your university or educational institution for your approved studies.
  • University payment receipt or verification. The university payment receipt or payment verification associated with your approved educational arrangements.
  • Educational approval documents (where applicable). Any relevant educational approval documents that apply to your studies.
  • Current residence permit (where applicable). If you apply from outside your country of nationality, add a copy of your valid student pass, residence permit or other long-term stay authorization there.

Additional documents may be requested depending on the application.

Matching Your Study Documents

Your admission or offer letter and your payment receipt or verification come from the university or educational institution. Check that your name and personal details match across both documents, your passport copy and the application.

Readable scans matter too: capture each page edge to edge, free of glare and cropping.

From Study Approval to Entry Visa

  1. Confirm your study approvals

    Make sure your approved studies are backed by the VDR letter and the Immigration approval letter.

  2. Gather identity and university documents

    Prepare your passport, photograph and biodata page copy, then your admission or offer letter, payment receipt or verification and any educational approval documents.

  3. Submit the student entry-visa application

    Provide the supporting documents it asks for, using the university paperwork you gathered.

  4. Wait for the Immigration decision

    Immigration reviews the application and makes the applicable decision. Approval and visa issuance are not guaranteed.
